The Aesthetics of Everyday Life: an apartment for a big family

To create an interior where aesthetics and functionality, comfort and durability coexist.

Apartment in a quiet part of Riga / Completed in 2024

Task
To create an interior that combines aesthetics with functionality, comfort with durability. The clients are a family with children, so the home needed to be beautiful yet “alive”: with well-planned zones, durable materials, and easy maintenance. It was important to maintain a calm atmosphere, avoid visual noise, and stay within budget.

Result
The interior is built on a dialogue between classical proportions and modern comfort.

White walls with slim molding profiles, warm oak parquet, and dark veneer panels form the architectural frame, while deep blue accents and brass details bring liveliness.

The kitchen and living room are combined into a single open space. Black-and-white stone, soft textiles, and graphic lighting set an atmosphere of calm confidence.

Wear-resistant surfaces, easy-care fabrics, and natural materials helped preserve aesthetics for an active family lifestyle.

Key solutions: Meaningful planning • Practical materials • Visual lightness • Attention to everyday family scenarios
